Hi Ron O’Quinn,
if you has been the DJ today 5th May 2013 Sunday 13:00 - 15:00 : Rock & Roll Rewind - Ron O'Quinn
then I will send the best greetings and wishes to you and all others of the recently found "crazy" radio station KBC on short waves in 49m Band.

Yes, I was very surprised about the fact that "somebody" is clenches enough to keep short waves alive.
A lot of others stations has been already closed down in the radio AM history scenario of these days!

My equipment is just the Grundig Satellite 700 World Receiver made and bought in Germany 1992.
Yes, I feel free to let you know what a crazy guy I am :-))

Your are working very close to the most famous frequency ever in 49m Band in Europe:
6090KHz Radio Luxembourg.
But there will be no influence any more cause RTL is gone...
Mit freundlichen Grüßen/Kind regards

Hello Eberhard,
Thank you for listening to my show, Rock and Roll Rewind, on The Mighty KBC.
My show is heard on stations in America and in Europe, but of course, KBC has the biggest signal.

I was the original Program Director of Swinging Radio England,
one of the North Sea pirate stations in 1966.
You can read my bio if you will Google my name.

I hope that you will spread the word about KBC and will continue to listen.
All the best to you, my friend.

Yes I'm happy to get an answer from an "Old Man" to me "Old Man" as well :-))
I guess I can keep both copies of your show at my own homepage as a shortwave memorial...
Mit freundlichen Grüßen/Kind Regards
Eberhard

Hi Eberhard,
Of course, you may keep the two sound bites of my show on your website.
I would be honored.
Thank you,
Ron

Hello Eberhard,
I am now 70 years old, but I don't feel it and I think the main reason I do not feel my age is because I have always been active and because it makes me happy to please my radio listeners.

I do make money doing this, but the real reason I continue is because I enjoy it and hundreds of thousands of listeners enjoy it, also.

I appreciate your kindness in putting my audio file on your website.
Please give my best regards to your friends and family.

Ron

Hi Eberhard,
Thank you for the inclusion in your website. I sincerely appreciate it.
Yes, Nauen is the site of the KBC transmitter. We moved to that site from Werchatal in March.
The signal from Nauen is better in the UK and Scandanavia, but worse for Spain and Italy.
The signal appears to be about the same over most of Germany, the Czech Republic, and Bulgaria.

I mentioned you on the show that will be broadcast this weekend.

All the best,

Ron
